When Scouts spent the night at Logging Camp, this is where they stayed. Twelve cots upstairs and eighteen beds downstairs.
Last year they had some scheduling issues, and two groups of thirty would show up the same night. In preporation for that enentuality I stashed ten tents and thirty extra cots. The plan was if worse came to worse scouts |
could at least spend the night in the tents and still get to sleep out at Logging Camp.
This Cabin was Built in the mid 1800's. The Logs were dovetailed, with 1.5" pegs throughout.
The roof, floors windows and doors were a complete loss, but the main beams were mostly intact. One of the most interesting features was the little original wallpaper that still remained. (See Below) |
